GOP Losses Span Nearly All Demographic Groups | Gallup
The blogosphere from the left and the right react with their analysis to Gallup’s numbers.
American Power — The Democrats are the nation’s current majority party. But it’s their winning coalition to lose.
The Other McCain — Nothing succeeds like success, and nothing fails like failure. A political party that is disloyal and disrespectful toward its core constituents, as the GOP was during the Bush/Mehlman era, will not attract new adherents.
The Daily Dish — GOP Losing Everyone
Riehl World View – I think some people are making too much of it. Yes, the GOP is out of favor, as if that’s a surprise. The success or failure of Obama over four years will determine what the numbers are four years out.
Donklephant — What to say about this except it’s pretty obvious how devastating Bush has been to the GOP. And they’d do well to realize this and begin to starting reforming their party now or else risk suffering a Mondale-like loss ala 1984 come 2012.
Taylor Marsh — It makes it all the more curious why Republicans think their full scale war on Speaker Nancy Pelosi, complete with the demand that she resign, could actually work. Desperation meets delusional.
The Reaction – What was that Karl Rove once said about a “permanent Republican majority”? That dream has been dead for a long time.
Hot Air – I believe it is now time for Republicans to focus all of our energies on winning the future by emerging as the party of new ideas.
